In an historic development agreement with Sunshine Coast Council and SunCentral Maroochydore Pty Ltd, Walker Corporation will deliver 160,000sqm of commercial and retail space and 4,000 residential apartments over the next 15 to 20 years.
Major infrastructure projects, including the Sunshine Coast airport expansion, new public transport, and a new international submarine broadband cable network, will provide outstanding physical and digital connections.
The Queensland Government declared the site a Priority Development Area in 2013, which enables a streamlined planning, approval and development process under the State’s Economic Development Act 2012.
